Tackle It Tuesday: My Mobil Sewing Kit

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Sadly, my house is unfinished - I would need more than a single post to cover the tackle once it is complete.  We have two fully unfinished rooms (subflooring and sheet rock only) as well as a half done bathroom…ugh.

Due to constant remodeling I have to take my sewing stuff room-to-room.  Last week I posted this pic and post about how much I love my reusable shopping bags…

You can see a messy array of fabric scissors and thread.  After looking the pic I realized how messy and inpractical it was (don’t get me wrong I still LOVE my reusable bags).

So last weekend I brought everything out into the living room

My sewing mess

Organized the fabric

Located all my scissors, thread, and other goodies

And put it all together for easy transport.

The large tackle box has all the scissors (5 pair or so - all for different uses) as well as the accesorries for my sewing machine, sewing glue, snaps and buttons, and all that fun stuff.  The little box that you can just see next to it is perfect for sewing needles and thread.  I found an old plastic bag that a comforter came in, it is perfect for holding all of my fabric - as it lies flat and opens wide.  What was once mixed between several bags boxes and what not, is now neatly organized into these two boxes and bag.  I am so happy that I can finally move my sewing stuff around how and when I need to without needing an army to help me!!  I am so happy I finally got it done!!
