The Life of a Working Mom

I have discovered a new release, a way to unwind, relax, almost meditate a little.  I have a new found love of sewing.  Not only do I love the creation, working hard on something and seeing my successes, learning from my failures.

 I have also come to realize that it is not just the act of sewing. 

I love the fabric.  I love going to the store and feeling inspired by a new print or a new texture.  

I love the hum of my sewing machine, hearing it work under my control

But, somedays, most of all, I love the organization.  I love sitting on the floor of my living room, surrounded by my thread and notions.   Arranging and rearranging to fit in my storage boxes.  Finding all the bobbins, wound or empty, putting them in their place.  There is something to stacking the felt and fabric by color and print.  

I have found my new therapy.  In my house full of boys, boy toys, boy smells, boy sounds and colors, I have found something for me - and I love it!!
