The Life of a Working Mom

So normally I play along with Mama Kat’s writing assignment on my family blog - but I have decided to move it.  I really want my family blog to be more of a scrap book for my family - fun and focused on my boys.  This is my place for me, for writing, for flexing my meager skills…so this is where I will now enjoy my weekly workout.

The prompt I chose this week is:

10 Things on my Mind this week:

I must say…there are more than 10 things rumbling around here, maybe spilling some of them out will be a relief…maybe 10 more will replace them…

1.    I am still trying to understand the reasoning behind sending me to a full days training tomorrow…on a product and process that I trained on in the fall…for 2 days…in HQ.  We are busy, we are swamped…what will be gained by me being unavailable to train on something I already know and have trained on.

2.   Will we ever put a plug in the hole filled bucket that is our finances.  Why does it seem that year after year things get worse, why can’t we just get it under control.  I have to say I feel all the weight and all the responsibility.  I do our finances…so yes it is my fault…but maybe I need more help doing them…maybe I should speak up about this, maybe we need to make this more of a team event.

3.   Will I ever actually start kayaking/going to yoga/running/exercising again.  Why is it so hard for me to actually get into gear and do something.  I am determined to get to back to my pre wedding weight…or at least I say I am determined, but I just can’t seem to get in gear.

4.   Will I ever find a new job…’nough said…(see this post if you want to know how that’s going)

5.   Will the littlest guy ever talk?!

6.   Will the big guy ever stop talking?! (seriously non stop narrative from this kid!!…don’t worry I actually LOVE it!!!)

7.   Will we ever finish the play room - when we do will the boys like it, will it look like and feel like the room I imagined it to be

8.   Will Stefan win Top Chef?  Is Hosea about to be kicked off?

9.    Can I write a list without it being almost entirely in question? (I think not)

10.  Will the chaos ever end…the endless never ceasing chaos, of house, of home, of mind.  It is not a chaos of activity or of task, its the chaos of attitude of mindset.  It is the dissaray that is our home, it is the lethargy and apathy that we have settled into.  What will it take to change our status.  What will kick us in the butt enough to make that change?!

So that is my 10….that is a small glimpse into my mind.  Thank you once again Mama Kat for giving me a prompt that brought out more for me than I thought it would.
